Different contributions to the spin-momentum locking in the altermagnetic multiferroic BaCuF4 and components of the spin photocurrents detecting each of these contributions.
Dr. Giuseppe Cuono, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Materials Science, University of Milan-Bicocca, visited IFPAN and MagTop from 14 to 19 September 2026. He collaborates with MagTop on altermagnets and p-wave magnets, with a particular focus on disentangling the different contributions and microscopic origins of spin-momentum locking in these systems through bulk photovoltaic effect measurements. As part of the visit, he gave a talk entitled “Relativistic and non-relativistic contributions to spin-momentum locking and response functions in altermagnets.”
