In line with MagTop’s mission of adopting and implementing good practices, MagTop’s Team Leaders and Knowledge Transfer Coordinator visited on 13-14 January 2026 MagTop’s strategic partner unit – Peter Grünberg Institute – Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH. The program of the visit included:
- Meeting with Prof. Claus Michael Schneider, Head of Institute Electronic Properties at Peter Grünberg Institute and short introduction to the Institute
- Visit to Dr. Łukasz Plucinski Lab
- Seminar on “Understanding of Quantum Hall Effects in Topological Quantum Wells” delivered by Prof. Tomasz Dietl, a leader of MagTop.
- Networking with members of Electronic Properties Group and Quantum Theory of Materials Group, discussions with prof. Stefan Blügel
- Visit to Ernst Ruska-Centre for Microscopy and Spectroscopy with Electrons
- Formal meeting with representatives of Intellectual Property Management, Innovation Division, Law Division, Human Resource Development and Recruiting, Support of Early-Career Scientists Division: presentations on property rights, technology transfer, employment strategy, research management, diversity issues with extended discussion
- Visit to Electronic Properties Lab, scientific discussions with Dr. Daniel Bürgler
- Visit to Nanocluster and Semiconductor Nanoelectronics Labs, scientific discussions with Prof. Detlev Grützmacher
